What a great set!

We'll not see the likes of that over here unless the WH split up.

What was the crowd like? Busy?

the people were great. it's a small venue and gets crowded quite easily, but there were def. some hardcore fans there. Surprised even Ginger. Kinda a dude-fest too. The whole front row was big guys w/ backwards caps.

By the time I got back to my friends place and hit the sack I'd been awake 28 hours straight...but what ana amazing gig that was!!! To see Ricky playing was just brilliant and a great surprise and the set was blinding. Wearing my vintage 'demand the right to be unique' top, which is 'on tour' especially for these shows, I actually found the energy for some bouncing along (periodically) and just generally rocking it the rest of the set. My friend who went with me had never heard of ginger or the wildhearts before but now wants to buy their stuff!! Off to disney today with some friends befor heading to the El Ray show tonight!!! Absolutely can't wait :D

First of all, apologies to anyone near me at the show. I'm normally quite mild-mannered but as this was my first time seeing Ginger I had a few drinks to make sure I could get my bounce and singing on! Sorry to anyone possibly offended - a 40yr old man jumping up and down and screaming was probably difficult on the eyes and ears - my friend next to me shot me a couple of dirty looks that's for sure.

Here's what I remember -

I was up front and brought some CD's for Ginger to sign and he actually signed one during the show. He said something like, "apologies, there's an impromptu autograph session going on up here"

He looked at my Endless Nameless CD cover and said, "that's a great album"

The place looked packed and the guys from Finland to my left we're definitely into it.

I took the Ginger poster off the wall in the bathroom before the show and had him sign it after the show.

Ginger was just as cool as I imagined after the show if not a little scared as I tried to tell him how happy his music makes me, and this my first time seeing him, and I just heard of The Wildhearts a few years ago, and blah, blah, blah

I didn't realize it until my friend told me last night that we saw him open for Cheap Trick at HOB Anaheim last year or the year before. Just him and his guitar too.

god i wish i could afford the 100$ tickets to cheap trick/def lep/poison (but who cares about them this year)

sounds like an allstar cast.
i'd love to see Ginger/WH/...or best of all SG5 touring with some of their influences like that

I ripped it off the stage after the show (hee-hee!) There was also a yellow piece of paper with some of the lyrics for So Into You written on it next to the setlist (got that as well!).
