Aye, I remember the Chart Show being good, at least they gave you an idea of what the specialist chart was going to be that week, and it was always on at the same time, and they got a decent amount of playtime.

I used to sit there with a video ready to record anything I liked on the monthly rock chart... Managed to get the video for Anthem and a little bit of Urge like that!

Weeell first thing I was aware of was "So into you" on a Kerrang Kompilation some years back (Its a different version to the album version). But, upon getting more stuff I recognised "Suckerpunch" from the depths of me memeory...or is it playing tricks on me again ????

In 92 (?) I saw the video for "nothing ever changes..." on cabel TV here in Norway. I thought it was just amazingly good. The riffs, the chours, the words....
So a mounth or two later I finally found a Wildhearts CD in my local record shop, but I was dissaponted when "shoes..." was not on it. Bought it anyway, went home, and "earth VS wildhearts" just punched me in my face!! WOW!! It must be the best rock and roll record ever.

Have ben a huge fan ever since, but the listening-ratio have gone up and down. But after the last comeback I just dont find a reason to listen to other bands... other bands are very boring :)

my mate gave me a carrier bag full of cds to listen to, mostly motorhead AFI and ACDC, but in amongst it was Must Be Destroyed. i loved the cover and the record was pretty good but i didnt really really get into them until i heard some of the other stuff.
and that's the only thing i'm going to say.

heard loveshit in my local record shop. Just had to have the album there and then - it changed me from a nwa, ice t etc rap head into a rocker overnight!!!! there has never been another album like it for me ( and there has never been anything decent in that shop since! :P
why do i have to ignore you to get your attention?

Aha, my first post. Been lurking, but had to reply to this one!

I first saw Ginger with the Quireboys at Monroe's in Stockport in 1988. My friend & I were first through the door - there were 10 in the audience altogether. We got to know them pretty well over the next year or so and as soon as the Wildhearts came into being was an immediate fan - how could I not be? Hilarious when I saw them on their 1st tour and (an inebriated) Ginger knew he knew me but didn't know how - I kept him guessing a while. Bet he wouldn't remember me now - it's been so long.

I, too, remember the 1st TOTP show - classic!

Can't actually remember the first track I heard, but the first thing I bought was Mondo Akimbo and the first live experience was at the Aberdeen Music Hall, supporting The Almighty. The first of many, as it turned out!
How dare you!

Suckerpunch was a regular player at, what was then Sloanes but is now, Liverpool's Krazy House in early 1994. I always used to hit the dance floor thinking it was Motorhead's Ace of Spades (damn you tinitus!!) until the vocals started.

Then saw them at Donnington in 94 which made me a fan to this day (and counting).

Christmas 2005.

My mate piced up a copy of Must Be Destoryed for just two English Pounds. It was a pure bit of whimsy. We found them a month to late to go to Scarbough castle, I've never seen the Hearts play live!

Sonic Circus at Bradford + Download. Off to the Bastille on the 5th.

To the many of you that have seen the hearts live, you're luckier than you'll ever know
Greetings now from shitsville East Hull (Well West Hull now and it's not that bad to be honest)

First time I heard of them was in the hype leading up to 'Earth vs...' in Raw and Kerrang and a friend did a copy of their album. I was about 14 and they had songs with swear words in the titles - which is cool when you're that age.

First saw 'em live at the Manchester Academy on the phuq tour.

Swearing in titles is cool at any age. It is big, and it is clever.

My first was Suckerpunch on the pub dukebox at the Wagon and horses in Leyland. Gods what a shithole that was. But it did have Earth vs. on the jukebox. Been a massive fan since, and the more I hear, the more I like. I kinda lump WH, SG5 and GATSC together in my head, though. They're all songs Ginger wrote (or at least 99.9%).

Hello everyone - my first post and a fitting thread to put it in...

I first heard Caffiene Bomb on the first Kerrang! compilation back in '94 - went back to the same store a week later and bought Earth Vs. - the rest is history.

I first came across Ginger when he was in the Quireboys way back when I still used to drink, (so I can't remember when exactly), and then when the Wildhearts supported the Quireboys at Bradford's Queens Hall, (still pissed, can't remember when). Blew me away, and been a fan ever since, old fart that I am.
