Hi,

We're looking at reviving the Ask Ginger section of the Wildhearts website. If you have any questions you'd like to submit, please can you post them in this thread, and we'll get answers from Ginger on as many as possible.

Cheers
Kris

Were you really in a 2004 film "Atlantic City Serenade" as Drunk #2 as IMDB.com say you are? Or has someone just been messing about with the cast list.
Also, does the Japanese edition of the new Wildhearts album contain bonus tracks? If so, will these be made availble as b-sides over here?

Which albums do The Wildhearts still receive royalties from? For example, does buying from ebay etc stop the band receiving any money. Or would buying new mean you are still not getting anything and the money is going to record company.

Not meant to be a personal question in any way, hope it doesn't come across like that.

Is that really you singing on World Of Filth? If so, how do you manage to sing such deep notes? Regardless of whether it is you on not, do you have any plans to record an album in the country n western style that *doesn't feature such offensive lyrics? Would be good, I reckon :-)

Is your solo career on hold now that The Wildhearts are back or will you still be recording?and touring, especially with a Sonic Circus style lineup.

Are there any plans for you to appear on Never Mind The Buzzcocks with Phill J?

I can answer this one for ya. If you buy a copy of an album from eBay, no one sees any $$$ except for the person you bought it from. eBay sellers aren't registered with any of the record sales counting companies ( SoundScan, etc. ) .

If you buy something new ( say, from Amazon, etc. ) it "counts" . The band may not see any $$$ from the sale ( depends on whether they've "recouped" any of the $$$ the record label has advanced them, or if they're still in debt to the label ) , but whoever writes the songs will see a few pennies in royalties ( unless they've signed away their publishing rights ) .

Aside from that, I just wanna say "Thanks" for bringing the "Ask Ginger" feature back - I've really missed it. Here's a question - is he/was he a big Slade fan?

A giant asteroid is about to bomb human kind out of existance. The Wildhearts start their last ever gig, 15 minutes before impact. What´s the setlist?

I think a different question was being asked here: I think the OP is aware that the band / Ginger get no money if you buy their album off e-Bay. What they want to know is are the band / Ginger receiving any money if it is bought new (i.e. are they still in debt to the label / does Ginger have the publishing rights).

You're welcome - I've missed it too :)

Cheers

What do you think of Glen Roeder?

And if the Toon made the UEFA cup final, would you consider writing a song for the black and white army?

I was thinking of asking something similar.

or just re-issue Geordie In Wonderland.

It's a difficult one to ask coz I don't want it to look like I'm asking about Wildhearts/Ginger personal finances. This would obviously get a reply like mind your own fucking business.

If the band are not receiving any money would they want all the dosh to go to East West for example.

O.K Ginger, you've been placed on trial for crimes against rock n' roll! The jury sentences you to death.

Before they flick the switch however you are allowed to listen to one last album, eat one last meal of your choice, have one final drink and then sleep with any girl in the world (He's quite a nice judge I suppose!).

What would you choose for each??
