Liverpool show

Simply awesome! I was amazed they were in the smaller room, but they were on top form, and the crowd were well up for it. Even better than Bradford, and that was one of the best shows I'd seen for a long time. Absolute genius!
I might post a more coherant review tomorrow when I'm slightly more alive!

Yes.

Brilliant show - brilliant atmosphere. They all played really well and seemed to be enjoying theirselves, which is fantastic to see :)

It's just great to be bouncing round in the crowd watching a happy smiley band!! Love it!!

Was admittedly a little chuffed to find out the psycho Cyborgs weren't allowed to perform.... but they brought them on for 29 x the pain. Cue: me not being able to watch and looking anywhere but at the stage - and random having a good old laugh at me! Aah well - at least I'm good for something eh? lol.

Havent yet got everything straight in my head from last night, but it was a bloody good 'un I can remember that much.

That's the partying over for me.... so when's the next tour??

wow. what a gig. it was worth the pain of having my new corazon tattoo rubbed and sweated on at the front row!! (it was my phone that was shown to ginger on stage as it was done yesterday morning before the gig)

it was one of the best nights of my life and seeing Luis pole dancing to living on a prayer in reflex after the show was even better!!! ha ha ha.

cant wait for the next tour!!

Well, seeing as I thought I was gonig to die on my way to Liverpool (aquaplaning and road spray do not a good journey make), that was one of the best night I've had in years. Tim Smith was as insane as always. Ginger looked fit and healthy (never seen him look so well). The crowd were really into it and were really cool (although the dick in front of me was gonna get a slap upside the head if he didn't shut up). And the band... W  W. They played like it could be their last ever gig so they thought best make it a good one. And it was.
Probably the most fun I've had by myself in a long time (apart from the obvious :D )
Thank you to one and all for playing your hearts out.

When i get tickets to see Ginger, i generally don't get too excited because i've seen him about twelveteen times now. But when the gig actually starts it reminds me why i have been a fan for this long. Genious songwriting abilities, regardless who he's working with at the time, and he ALWAYS without fail puts on a good show, even the 'not so good' shows are shows to remember. This one was one of the really fucking good shows.

This was the same venue that i saw the Wildhearts for the first time so it kinda had a sentimental thing for me (ok so the first time i saw them was the reformation in 2001 but i've made up for it since then).

I was a bit taken aback by Tim's random witterings but even though Ginge was on the stage, couldn't take my eyes of Tim (not like that) as he was so damn unpredictable (well unless you've seen him before - a nod to chris who seemed to know what he was gonna say next).

The gig was ace but only downside for me was having to leave during 29 times the pain to get the last train back home.

Oh and thanks Chris for not headbangin' and giving me whiplash from your hair once i'd mentioned it to ya. Much appriciated lol.

What a bloody good show! I couldn't get over how good the whole band sounded, did I count no less than ten people on stage?

Tim Smith was pure insane genius, how any one could not like him is beyond me, 'what do wasps fight about'?
Ginger and Jon were funny too, I've never seen them so un-animated. Great set.

Ginger and the Sonic Cricus were fantastic, to have them play in such a dump in front of so few people is a crying shame. This band were made to headline much bigger venues. Liverpool do not deserve the Sonic Circus!
I know that may be an unpopular statement, but the lack of response by the gig going public amazed me.

I wish I'd been able to afford to see them more than once, but hopefully they'll be back after the new album, on bigger stages that they truly deserve.

Edit: I forgot to mention, during Tims set Ginger almost had a suit on! I thought I was seeing things.

hey ady, no worries man i didn't mean to whiplash you in the first place!!! i understand about what you are saying about the turnout but at least the people who were there made it sound like there was a crowd double the actual size. I love intimate gigs like that and it was one of the best sets ive seen him do. Shame the extreme dudes couldn't do the same show that i saw them do at wolverhampton, that was so extreme that my mate passed out watching them!!!

oh well, i just can't wait till the circus rolls into town again.....................

Wait a minute!!! He said that at Wolvo too... Hmmm, does he have his bizarre ramblings scripted somewhere?? :?

I've seen him in suits several times - are you suggesting that just 'cos he's a rockstar he can't be a sharp dresser?

the first thing that i said when i saw ginger in a suit was that i wasn't aware that he'd been up in court that day.

Isn't the fire-coming-out-of-gills actually the name of a Cardiacs song or something? Not that I'd know since I have none of their stuff. I'm tempted to get that best-of album... but I'm also scared of what it'll be like ;-)
In an ideal world there'd be no time for ideals.
