It's a real shame it's not readily available everywhere, I guess demand has taken them by surprise. Suspect it could have made a big dent on the charts this week if not for this.

No sign of the album in HMV Canterbury - but the Fopp next door had a few.

Fopp. I can't be seen shopping in a store called Fopp, dammit.

I checked Virgin in Cardiff on Monday to make sure it was out, and then made my way to Spillers to buy it. The girls behind the counter had no idea it was out and there was no sign of it on their computer (which usually lists, like, everything). So that was a bit odd. HMV were sold out already, but Virgin still had 7 or 8 on display when I went back.

Reading all these posts about having problems getting hold of new releases, I really would urge EVERYONE to open an account with Cargo.

What an impeccible record they have for me

VDC, got it after it had been out for 4 days
World Of Filth, arrived on the saturday, 2 days before the release date
Yoni, arrived on the saturday, 2 days before the release date
The Wildhearts, arrived on the saturday, 2 days before the release date

Who can argue with that record???

Do it, do it NOW!!!!

This is HMV Newcastles little shrine to WH:

Plus I was in my local Virgin Megastore today: they have 5 copies of Best of Wildhearts but NO new album!

Amazon's alleged 4-6 week delay seems to have been a bit pessimistic on their parts though - mine was waiting for me when I got home today.

The Arctic Monkeys' promotional budget also stretches to Amazon's cardboard packaging!

Whenever I go into a record shop me and my son always make sure we re-arrange the store's own top ten with our own.

Out go 'tic 'keys in come Wildies.
Bye bye Casade (who they fuck are they?) hello Machine Head.

So if you work in a record shop and have to keep changing your displays, it's probably me and me son.

Unless someone else does this. And if you don't why not?
