I too had that unfortunate experience at that venue several years ago. It has changed somewhat since then. Newcastle Brown is now available (though I suspect it may run out tomorrow) and there are regular ROCK gigs there. :twisted: I've have been to loads of great shows there over the last year or so - best known bands I've seen there recently being Towers Of London (who most of you probably hate) and the Quireboys.

Anyway, it tends to be fairly quiet at the Purple Turtle in the afternoons - not very busy. So it should be a good place for a MeET as it's quite large and there will be plenty of room for everybody. 8)
