Can someone write into Q to say their review is totally wrong?

That's wrong seeing as there's one Brummie, one Londoner, a Yank and a sand dancer. At least if you're going to write a review panning something Q, get your fucking facts right. And they pay these people to write for a living? With mistakes like that, I thank god they're not doctors.

Well Guns N' Roses were an LA band even though they were all born elsewhere. It's not where you were born that defines a band.

Goon rockers? That's quite funny, at least. It also indicates that perhaps the reviewer had prejudged the album based on a previous disliking of the band, which may well be based as much on their previous antics as the music.

I remember the '...Strikes Back' review a while ago in Q called them something like 'pretend metallers clad in TK Maxx denim,' or something. Also amusing in a way, but hinting at an outright disdain for the band themselves. Same fellow, possibly?

I also recall James Oldham calling the Wildies 'vomit rockers' in a Yo-Yos NME single review. He hates them. It was him what gave 'FFL '96' 4/10 in the NME, too. Works for Uncut now, I think....the plot thickens.

Although Guns N Roses did live in LA and were also part of the LA sleaze rock scene if I recall.

True, the band did write a song called Geordie in Wonderland and have had members from Newcastle in previous incarnations, but that's wrong for the magazine to say that to the Wildhearts 2007. Ultimately, I thought it was lazy journalism on the part of Q. If it was a fan mistake or an independent webzine it wouldn't bother me, but the fact these guys are paid critics and they can't be factually correct is beyond me.

However, I suppose their endless lists must take up a lot of hours.........
