I think it's healthy that we all have differing views on the album. But my view is the only one that's right

For the record, Bang!, I agree with a lot of what you have said. The only issue I have (had) with you is your propensity to go off it with people whose views you in fact don't agree with. Which is kinda hypocritical.

Anyway, I've just done what I told myself I would not do, which is justify myself to someone who I perceive to be a grubby 15 year old kid plagued by hormones sat with his nose glued up against his dirty CRT monitor being riled by any perceived affront against his god given right to be an ignorant cock. ie you.

Your affected indifference to possible criticism presented in the form of lols and emoticons is as laughable as it is pathetic, as is your having to resort to petty insults and ironic allusions to peoples levels of intelligence when faced with someone who has the audacity to present an opinion that is at odds with your own (if your ill thought out cerebral meanderings could ever be deemed as "opinion", that is).

Apologies to anyone who reads this who is offended by any of it. I'm usually a very placid fellow.

I feel dirty.

So if someone doesn't agree with what Lemon wrote does that mean they haven't got a brain?

Or maybe it's the people with a whole brain that wouldn't agree...

Anyway, it's been all very nice on this forum until the name calling started, which is something I always thought was not at all appropriate for a forum where people come together to celebrate and discuss the gift of music.

It's sure annoying, but it's a tad funny as well... Bang!, you seem obsessed with everyone trying to opress you, when actually no one does - it's just that many happen to be of a different opinion. And I didn't see one sinking to your level when expressing it. You're NOT the only critic in the village, so come off it. Get your groove on.

I'll happily sit in that hole with you. Also, this thread appears to have been started merely so another person can effectively say it's their best album just in different words to try and make it look like you weren't.

:?

Whoa hosy.....not my intention at all. It's a different, but valid way of measuring its impact. It's also less of a subjective view.

To be honest, I thought that this may have thrown up some interesting responses.....boy was I ever wrong. Mods, please feel free to delete this thread.

:(

I think it's a good, original, thought-provoking topic idea.

It be hard thinky stuff, though. I'm not sure how to reply meaningfully to it as yet.

'No-one speaks less there's something to say...' indeed.

At least the fact that people have started falling out and forming minor factions means that the board has probably surpassed a quantum-physical consensus-buggering popular critical mass of some kind. Or something. It's getting livelier, I suppose.

On that note...you motherfuckering shitcocks! You all better agree with me or I'll cleave your skull like an elephant's VAGINA!

Ahem.

What the FUCK just happened in here? Crikey!

This is all getting a little ridiculous now.

*bangs head on keyboard*

Can't we just play nicely boys??

**editing to say***

EVERYONE'S opinion is valid in here. You like the album? Fine. You don't like the album? Fine. Let's not descend into making derogotry comments about another group of people whose opinions differ to yours. Grow up.

Seems like at the moment when someone says they like the album they're accused of having no brain or being sheep or some such thing. I say to the accusers - have you ever thought that they may genuinely just like it? And on the other side of the coin, of course people are entitled to say they don't like it... but then I haven't seen anyone getting shot down in flames for saying that.

Incidentally Keith... I agree with you that this could be the most representitive album.. purely for the fact that I can hear influences from every wildhearts album that's gone before - there's a little bit of everything in there isn't there? Solo stuff too!

Right, that's my two penneth. It's too EARLY for this shit!
