Do the band get to choose what singles will come out off the album? if so, which do you think they should bring out after 'flesh'?

I think Slaughtered Authors could be a No1 hit, I can't get over how great this song is, even by wildhearts standards!

Its their record label, so yeah, they get to pick whats a single by the sounds of things. Someone said Scott told them they were considering Revolution as the follow up to New Flesh...I dont think Revolution's one of the album highlights but maybe thats me...Id go for either Rooting For The Bad Guy or Slaughtered Authors...

I think that "Revolution..." would be the perfect choice for a single. Representative of the band and album. My only concern would be the claims that they are ripping off Green Day

Weird. I can't hear it meself!

Verses are VERY similar vocal melody to 'to have and have not' by Billy Bragg. Which is a top song.
(tho Revolution is better!)

'Revolution' has always reminded me of 'I fought the law' by the clash quite alot.

....me too.....but then again, Green Day has always been guilty of "drawing from" The Clash.

Just one man's opinion, but it seems to me that there are a couple of obvious ones here, as far as being single material. Tracks 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 were all clearly written to be radio-friendly. From PHUQ forward there have always been two distinct flavors of WH-song... there have been "Inglorious" songs, long, complicated, lots of ups and downs, and then there have been "Sick of Drugs" songs, shorter, more to the point and melody-driven songs. Some songs are just a little less work for the short attention spans of the average record store shopper, and the record companies, and hence the artists, tend to know that.
