inglorious guitar tab?

Postby spoon_of_grimbo » 11th Nov 07, 16:34

anyone got or seen a guitar tab for inglorious? i'm not the greatest guitarist ever, but since i'm pretty solid at rhythm, i thought i'd give this a go (as its chock full of face-peeling riffs!). sadly, i've worked out the intro, but very little else, so if anyone's got a guitar tab for it, i'd greatly appreciate it!

a few layers of guitars filling out the sound with slightly different stuff,
but I think this covers the lead guitar...

Inglorious is, in my opinion, easily one of the five best songs ever written by anyone.

There's a spot in Sky Babies that has always baffled me. I can't figure out how guitars could possibly make the noise they're making. I've often thought about sitting down and figuring the song out... maybe even recording my own version of it... but that one spot, I just can't imagine being able to do it. It's the spot that starts around 5:23.

Besides that, I think I could reproduce pretty much everything.

(The next section repeats for the length of the speech
and can be played in a variety of places,
basically its a build up and dosen't involve much .....
although you try singing it and playing it in Gingers wild timing !!!
The riff for the UFO speech is the following :)

Eb--------------------------------------------
Bb--------------------------------------------
Gb-----------4444-4---555-5-6666-6-77777------
Db-----------2222-2---222-2-2222-2-44444------

This is it in layman's terms, phenomenon of UFOs
Is well acknowledged by the state but secret to the president
Employed to be a public face and keep the public feeling safe
But higher powers in government hide something a million times
The size of the killing of JFK, the CIA are aware that higher
Powers exist with untold knowledge of life and death dimension, it could
Alter public awareness of religion, which is the only faith
That keeps us all in true control, and that's why we can never know...

A                            D            E
They're shaking, and they're fucking us again

                B     A         E       A       B
'Cos you're the on-ly one thing I wanna know

Chorus:

             F#               E             B
So won't you take me with you when you go?
              B       A        E       A      B
And there's a million feelings I wanna show
       F#               E             B
If you take me with you when you go
                B    A         E       A      B
'Cos you're the only one thing I wanna know
       F#               E             B
If you take me with you when you go
              B       A        E       A      B
And there's a million feelings I wanna show
       F#               E             B
If you take me with you when you go
                B    A           E     A      B

Heh, that's a blast from the past.

if I get chance over the next week or two I might put that Inglorious tab into PowerTab (if someone's not already done it) and see how much of it is crap :)

I assume you know of: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/wildhearts_tabs.htm btw?
