In other words, once you've got the Wildhearts album you've still got 74 downloads for the month... that's a lot of albums all for a tenner.
They don't do it quite like that any more. You only get 25 downloads for nothing when you sign up and two weeks to decide whether you want to stay subscribed or not, then they charge you after that. So you can sign up just to get the free tracks and then cancel straight away (you'll need a credit card number, and you can only do it once on each card).

But 85 downloads for a tenner (and an audiobook) isn't to be grumbled at. I've signed up and there's tons of stuff there. Going to wait until I've got The Wildhearts album then spend a merry evening browsing it... tons of Bjork stuff on there for one thing and I'm way behind on collecting her stuff.

I think they must've seen you coming.According to this it's 25 free and two weeks before you get charged. Their FAQ also says the lowest package they sell is now £8.99 for 30.
I used them a few months back, but they had very little of what I was searching for - and before search engines started listing links below the homepage, it was a pain in the arse to get in and look around without signing up.

But I've had the free tracks twice before, it's about time I coughed up. A tenner and I'll probably get 7/8 albums' worth of stuff including the new Wildhearts album. Not grumbling.

Fair enough then if you've had more than one bash at the free stuff.

I hope the boys still get paid for it.
nuno75 wrote:Well, it's official... there is no loophole that allows people in the US to get British albums five hours early on either eMusic or iTunes.

It's not on eMusic UK yet anyway. I'm giving it 10 mins then off to bed. 18 downloads left, so the question is what to do with the remaining 6.
