Holy shit...

Holy shit.

Melbourne fuckin' rocked insanely! I haven't rocked out so hard at a gig in many, many years, now croaking away because I've lost my voice. I am a happy, happy, croaky fucker. The band were godlike, the crowd just as much... I don't think I've had a gig experience like this since the Wildhearts at Newcastle Mayfair in '95. Just an amazing gig, an amazing vibe. Thanks to Damo, the band and everyone!

Now, where was I? Oh yeah - Holy shit... :D

Back safely in QLD....

WOW!

Melbourne also had Geordie In Wonderland too.

Will post some pics once I sort meself out.

Damo. I've said it few times but again, thanks. Sorry I didn't get to catch up with on Saturday. We all got a bit caught up in sightseeing (and the hail and rain!). I didn't even make it to the Espy to see Hoodoo Gurus/The Fauves like I'd planned. We certainly can't wait to get back to Melbourne again one day soon - maybe spend a longer time.

Bulb - great to meet you. I'm sure we'll keep in touch. Great meeting Workyticket too!

Scully, don't mention it. It needed to be done so I was just glad to help out and get the Aussies to see the band. It's long overdue. Let's hope bigger things happen from here on in.

I know this is kind of wanky but didnt anyone happen to take any photos of MC at either of the gigs? I am only asking cos my camera died and I couldnt take any at either shows. If you have any, could you email them to me at: damomusclecar@hotmail.com

Thanks!
Damo

Won't get the rest of these sorted for a while (this is a holiday after all!) but for now...

Damo, I'll try to get a cd sorted out for you before I get to Melbourne, will give you a call when we arrive.

Sydney was a lot of fun, great atmosphere and a really nice crowd - good to be there to witness a bit of history :)

I had an awesome time at the Sydney gig. Even picked up one of the (obviously limited) tshirts! I had a couple of Wildhearts albums before the gig, I am now scrabbling around ebay to get the rest.

Wonderful show, please come back!

I was talking to an Australian friend of mine recently and mentioned the Wildhearts. He had never heard of them so I sent him some tracks to check out. In passing, he mentioned that he noticed on their MySpace that they were playing Australia soon... and that was pretty much the end of the conversation and I didn't think about it again after that... until today when he sent me an email saying how he and a friend ended up going to the show and had a really good time.

I think I've created two more fans.

Wildhearts Anonymous

Hello everyone. My name is CS and it's been 7 days since my last WIldhearts gig. The symptoms are a little unnerving and I have been suffering the fits, the shakes and have been trying to get some sleep. I know it's only a matter of time until a fix will be totally unavoidable, but until then I'll have to substitute with various live CDs, DVDs and carefully selected bootlegs. I thank each and every one of you for your ongoing support and the knowledge that I'm not alone with this affliction.

Tomorrow's another day closer to my next hit....

Thanks to Damo for setting up the gig. I had a great time in Melbourne. I've loved the Wildhearts for years and used to see them at Rock City in the UK before I headed downunder to live. Met Nick and Sophie at the Lynch Mob & Fasterpusscat gig in Perth on Monday and got to hear all Nicks great stories about travelling to see Ginger in the guys in Japan!

Roll on the next time and if we can make something happen in the west get in touch!
