Okay, I can see it as a bold move, an "awww fuck it" move or maybe a "well, we've tried everything else already" move, yet I fail to see where's the cleverness in making a promo effort that is offensive by mainstream standards. It's basically been one of the standard approaches for rock music from Elvis to Alice Cooper to the Sex Pistols to Marilyn Manson.

Would've preferred Slaughtered Authors or Bi-Polar Baby as a single, since in the rock context I feel shouting has become way too prominent compared to great melodies. DAM wouldn't win me over if I weren't a fan already - not a very strong chorus as far as I'm concerned, plus the lyrics have too much bile for me (mind, that goes for much of the album). Anyway, it's still a very good track - the riffing and time changes are immense.
