i apologise profusely for my doubtage! this is cool then, i more or less know my way there so it's all good.

incidentally, anyone know of any late-license pubs in wolves? and anyone planning on drinking until the early hours? cuz i gotta catch a train at about 5am, and i don't plan on spending the time between the gig and the train sober
IF THERE'S A SOUND YOU PLAY THAT DOESN'T FIT TODAY,

I was going to go, but have just got back in the house from 8 hrs of driving.

By the time they got onstage it was pretty full, but no moreso than when The Bangles played at Academy 2 a couple of months ago.
How dare you!

Yeah it was quiet early on but it was full by the time they came onstage. I think the early start and the bad weather warnings didn't help. Plus it's nearly xmas and everyone is skint...

I had people telling me not to bother going, as there were blizzards forecast and I'd never get home. They obviously don't understand - this is the Wildhearts we're talking about here! I'm not staying home cos of a little bit of snow!

Vicky, I'd have tried to bump into you to say hello if I'd known you were going. You going to Manc?
It was rammed, I thought. Crap venue though....awful acoustics (it was actually twice as loud backstage as it was out front....very weird).
Enjoyed tragedy. They're going to be a fab show opener on the larger stages.

Yes, I'll be at Manchester. Won't be in such a hurry to get there or get home either, so should be around for longer!
I only caught the last couple of songs for Tragedy, I thought they were great but I'm interested to see them do a full set. Crowd reaction for them and A was a bit muted I thought, A deserved more than that certainly, it was great to see them back and I will be down the front for them in Manc. Hope my hearing comes back first! My ears are still ringing.
We could see through the doors in the bar to the main room and it looked huge, also looked like they were getting it ready for the student night after so the venue were quite keen to kick us out on time. 10pm curfew? ridiculous.

I'll be with teenage entourage, and mrs borolad, but maybe I could arrange to meet up outside the hall near the merch stand before the gig. Be good to say hello.

Okay, I'll keep an eye out for you. I'll have Mr P in tow, complaining about why I have to drag him to yet another WH gig... I don't know why, he enjoyed download!

That was the Wulfrun - The one 'round the back of the Civic.

are you sure? i just google-mapped directions to the wulfrun from the train station, and it's a 25 min walk away from the town centre... not that google's always the best source, but it's been reliable for me so far...

How dare you doubt Ean, he of all knowledge (except that one time but we'll not mention that anymore)

Hmmm. It's possible that someone jumped the gun here. According to the tour manager ticket sales are good and they're still expecting to play the Civic. :?

could be . lot of people might be waiting for this weeks wage to come in , figuring it wouldn't have sold out .

remember motorhead having to pull a tour in 90's even tho historically they'd sold most tickets on walk up sales on the day , promoters got jumpy about it .

hope it does end up being the civic ! they're cool with the WH there so will prob do what they can for them .

Did you get your tickets direct from the Civic box office or from Ticketweb? As you seem to be the only person who's said they've been contacted so far.
