Now that you mention it, you could be right Neil.
Obviously, Danny was on bass in 2001, when the band reformed and toured.
That was the night Ginger stormed off stage during the encore as Danny was laying the wrong song.

I usually stood down near the fron on the right hand side at Newcastle Uni gigs, but I seem to remember being stood on the stairs that lead to the bar whilst they played Zomboid, so maybe that does suggest it was 2002
Sorry for any confusion caused, maybe someone in authority can corroborate either date????

I'd say 2002. Saw them at Manchester Academy 2 on May 1st 2002 and they played Zomboid then.

And Danny was on bass.

Yep, it was on a Melody Maker cover CD. Annoyingly, my mate's got the promo CD with the bike pump adaptor in the spine.

it was the second post-reformation tour they played zomboid on

the first tour the latest song they played was sick of drugs , iirc the newcastle bust up was just after starting ' girlfriend clothes'

the tour after that started with 'love u til i don't' , had the first airings of 'vanilla radio ' , 'stormy in the north' and 'let's go' , plus zomboid and occasionally anthem
