Great gig, great to see people again (or for the first time), and great to not have to get up really early the next day to get back to the Smoke.
I loved the set for the most part, the Nita Nitro thing weirded me out a bit, but Nurse Maximum and the Mighty Urge more than made up for that. In the second medly bit, I'm certain I heard a bit of Layla and they definitely and wonderfully chucked in a bit of Thin Lizzy's Emerald too - made my night that did.

"As a band, they were sloppy and all over the place. Vocal and guitar melodies were well off the mark. And yes - that Nita Nitro thing was shocking. Just as it's about to kick in, they start playing the intro to Vanilla Radio and then just as that's about to kick in, they play something weird!!! I know the Wildhearts have a hardcore fan base and know a lot of the B Sides etc etc but for a couple of thousand people to pay £16 a pop and then travel in the freezing cold to see the show - and to be greeted with a performace of few classics and sloppiness? Absolute crap. VERY disappointing"

I don't think I've ever read such shite in my life. Can't speak about the first point as I wasn't there, but was at Newcastle.
If someone is moaning about travelling to a gig in the freezing cold then that says it all for me.

bollocks to all the moaners, wolves was easily the best I've ever seen the wildies play. left soaked to the skin and battered all over, good sign. pretty reasonable pit, 'secially during TV Tan and headfuck.

For once it wasn't the same old tired setlist they always play. Revolution was incredible, as was rooting .... although thought the hard way didn't come over well live, would have prefered to hear the sweetest song. They seemed focussed and played a stormer.

pretty cool light/ curtain thingy, bar was reasonably priced and an nice little venue, sold out to boot!!

never thought they would have a bassist to better danny, but scott was fantastic, fitted right in, ginger in good form, but is it just me or did CJ look a bit pissed off?

First time I saw wolfsbane, fuckin great! crowd seemed a bit unsure at first, but they won them over in the end, blaze is an awesome frontman it must be said.

loyalties were a bit dissapointing, seem to me a 2nd rete Yo Yo's, and i thought damone were shit, that guitarist was a right tool, but he could certainly play I'll give him that.

altogether a top night, chuck in show a little emotion and shitsville and would have been pretty perfect. Although I felt a bit of a cock in me green/black stripey jumper, felt like a I'd turned up at the wrong gig, mental note to self......wear fuckin black next time. lol

The setlist I have been waiting for!!! Since first seeing the band in '94, the setlist has been pretty much the same (not counting the EN tour). Looking forward to Friday. CJ never looks that happy during the gig anyway, probabaly because Ginger insisted on playing some EN stuff!! I never got why they don't play just in lust live though!!

They've played Just In Lust a couple of times in Bristol.

As for moody ol' CJ, well, we got backstage afterwards. This is the third time we've met the guys and although they were perfectly polite there did seem to be a slight atmosphere (and a no-show from Ginger).

As reports from the rest of the tour have been amazing (great onstage chemistry etc) i'll put it down to the 'Hearts running over at Wolves. They went over the curfew and were probably getting hassle from the management at the Civic - thereby feeling pressured and a little stressed. That's just a guess mind.....
