Nah, I thought it was fine.

I think some of the problems came from having to push the volume during the first set to get over the noise of the crowd

It was noticably quieter and clearer in the second set.

sounded decent from the floor,

It was the band who were having the problems hearing anything onstage..

The sound problems titted up the God Damn Whores more, when you've got the double pedal skills of dean and the bass drum mics not working you're really missing a treat.

As for the Wildhearts... Fucking class, love the lot of those songs!

just remembered something else that happened last night.

Getting to the front of the t-shirt queue wasn't that bad the trouble was when Dave and I had been served and about two hundred people where behind us with no way out until I hit on the idea of shouting "SARCS ON THE LOOSE" at the top of my voice and all of a sudden like moses parting the red sea I manage to make a big walk way through the crowd, was quite impressed with that.

Still pissed off that after six years of talking to her (you if you're reading this) I still didnt get to meet Trudi (you again if you're reading this)

dark, side parting usuall overy my eyes and different or as Mrs sarc calls it a "swoopdedoo" fringe, not quite sure what she's getting at but she's a mad bat and pulls cartoon dinosaur faces in public whilst sober thanks to Kristoff reminding us all.

yo

sheps bush tube was completely out , but got bus in .

doors were @ 7 after talk of them being @ 6:15 , so eureka machines went on a barely third of the audience , tho i think most everyone was in by end of their set ? bit quiet , and i think some of the harmonies at the start suffered from them being rushed but just plugging in and playing helped themk win over a good portion of the crowd .

quick changeover caught brother short in the queue for t-shirt ( like oihers he was getting in before they'd gone - shame there were no smiley bones cept for the bootlegs outside : ( )

GDW started with a pink floyd 'tribute' but elsewise was the same set as their cardiacs support last year - less 'reeling in the suckers' , but withy dodgy sound and still quite quiet . ( the reason one of the songs sounds very cardiacs is cos its silvery - an unreleased cardiacs song jon wrote ) - no concessions to it being a 'big' gig , jon was just like he is when playing to 20 ppl . you be the judge of if thats good or bad for you or them .

as is traditional the barging in of TALL FUCKERS infron of people who've been waitign since the start began , but was a really good vibe in the crowd , save for too many drink sfalling/spilling/being thrown from balcony . when we moved back a bit it was hotter/sweatier/more packed under there so headed back forward again .

the set went off track just a little - the sound wasn't terrible , only slightly off i guess , and ran as -

GREETINGS FROM SHITSVILLE
TV TAN
EVERLONE
SHAME ON ME
LOVESHIT
MILES AWAY GIRL
NEWS OF THE WORLD
DRINKING ABOUT LIFE
MY BABY IS A HEADFUCK
SUCKERPUNCH
LOVE U TIL I DON'T
-----------------------
DANGERLUST
SHOW A LITTLE EMOTION
DOWN ON LONDON
GIRLFRIEND CLOTHES
CAFFINE BOMB
SHUT YR FUCKING MOUTH AND USE YR FUCKING BRAIN ( with the goddam whores )
AND THE BULLSHIT GOES ON
BEAUTIFUL THING YOU
TWO WAY IDIOT MIRROR
29 X THE PAIN

(no duck song)

not too much 'don't worry after , but a good one from those who were left
jake appaeared onstage at one point
ginger did get a bit confused as to what had alreayd been played
it wasn't the most perfect as perfect can be night , but it was a very , very special one

cheers to everyone who came up and said hi , sorry if i was kinda distracted bvy keeping track of my family and stuffs . will try not to be a stranger in future !

ioh and hi to the newcasatle posse on top floor , i could see you but ..
don't gimme your manson lamps

Ginger gave a shout out to Zachary Storm with all his family and friends there
I know he's smiling somewhere :)

Reading that gave me goose bumps, what a really lovely gesture.

If I was gutted about not going to the gig, reading the accounts of everyone meeting up has me gnashing my teeth and scowling at the screen a little more. Sounds like a fab night, even compared to the bizarre / surreal school reunion I went to on the same evening!!

So.....

Manchester meet anyone??
