Well tracks will be 79p on iTunes, and probably about 8 quid for the whole album (saves you about £1.50).

OTOH, if you sign up to eMusic and get it using your 25 free introductory downloads and then cancel your account, you'll get it for nothing. And the band will still get paid.

"Stop Us.." Update..

For all those that have asked..

The Wildhearts WILL be releasing "Stop Us If You’ve Heard This One Before" Vol. 1 on CD in the UK, Europe & Japan during the summer.

The artwork is currently being worked on, and an official release date hasn't been set, but is expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks. As soon as we know the date we will of course let you know.

Thanks :)

Nice one for the info Ean. Thats great news. Some of my mates who are WH fans don't have computers and wouldn't be able to download it. So the fact they/I can buy it on cd is good.

Downloads?

Postby johnnywashngo » 8th Apr 08, 07:41

Does anybody know when the actualy shiny silver disc version will be coming out?

I really don't get on with crappy mp3 downloads of music, prefering to rip my music collection into a lossless format to preserve the sound quality. When it comes to my favourite bad, anything else is unacceptable.

They should do what Trent did with the last NIN effort - offer it in flac for those amoungst us with working eardrums.

Karaoke classics? You mean like UB40s Red Red Wine, Infact as much as I hate that band I'd quite like to hear Red Red Wine covered by our boys followed up by Making Your Mind Up by Bucks FIzz and Save Your Love by Rene and Renatto who, for trivia fans out there, now runs a restaraunt in the Midlands somewhere
Did you just say "Pig Flute"?

To save veering wildly off topic, I've bunged a reply thread to this in the Cloakroom. :)

A very good question. Anyone?

"be available exclusively to download WORLDWIDE from all major (and not so major) digital stores."

AFAIK this a digital only release

Cheers
Kris

I thought that I'd read here that the 12 track version will be a digital only followed by a 15 track regular CD release. :?:

As has now been posted higher in this thread, I've done some further checking and there looks like there will be a CD release for UK, Europe and Japan in the summer.

Cheers

I've not heard it but I'll get it anyway on the strength of their other stuff I think it's unlikely to disappoint.

Actually, Deckard did 2 LPs, although Stereodreamscene* is so hard to find it may as well not exist. Dreams of Dynamite & Divinity is ace though. Union of Knives are great too although its more house-y than BC/Deckard by a long way.

Really looking forward to his - Ice Hockey Hair, Rocket 69, Rearrange You & Waiting Room are already among my favourite tunes so my favourite band covering them... :D

* If anyone can help me out with this one I'll pay them handsomely in swaps - I've had bugger all luck finding it, even on eBay.
