I'm thinking it's "selfish sorrow".

Agree?

Also, has anyone else noticed this song is badly mixed? Annoyingly heavy on the bass.

gimme wrote:great song, does anyone else agree it sounds like something off a ginger solo album more than a wildhearts song though?

I said that exact thing when I first posted about the song. I think that's why I love it.

I love this song soooooooo damn much

one of those instant songs that your singing after just one listen

reminds me of "suckerpunch" B-side era

and I pretty much prefer it to anything on the last Wildhearts album

It's good.

In terms of music in general, it's a 9/10.

In terms of Wildhearts songs, it's a 6.5/10.

Like it on first listen alright, think it'll be a grower too.

Agree with others when they say it sounds like it belongs on a solo-album. Production-wise, it seems to belong on Yoni - just in terms of the guitar tones and the way they've mixed the vocal.

It sounds a bit like the lead-in to the chorus on the Bee Gees' 'Tragedy'. The bit that goes - "...I really should be holding you, holding you, loving you, loving you."

Had it's first airing in Singapore. This Wildhearts fan fuckin lovin it! To these ears, classic pre EN Wildhearts. I can understand the comments on it possibly fitting a Ginger solo effort - it's more Wildhearts to me.

Merry Christmas and thank you! I needed to be cheered up.

It's a fair point. After listening to it about 74 million times over Christmas there are some parts of the track that could do with being remixed. Having said that my main prezzie was a top of the range pair of Sennheiser earphones, and damn are they good. They have changed how I listen to music.

OK ashamed to say only sobered up to download today (well, sober enough ) ....

First impressions loving it, much better than I thought considering its free!

Has the feel of a Ginger solo track but also a bit of PHUQ b-side type era.

Quality.

I think this song answers the "Is There Still A Place In The World For The Wildhearts?" question!
Splendid! My only slight niggle is the production could do to be more erm, Massive?
