i know we have all had excellent ones but have there been any that went tits up?
my experience:
started a new job and informed them at interview i had flights booked for a gig in Glasgow Barrowlands.when i was in training they claimed they had no record of this at interview stage.reluctantly i had to change my flight to a 6pm from Belfast, get into Glasgow and head straight to gig from the airport.
sitting on runway awaiting take off and an engine goes down.got phone calls from Evil Elvis and my mate Ivan who flew out that morning.stuck on flight and pilot informs we could fly to London then get a connection to Glasgow.this would have caused me to miss the gig anyway.ended up getting of the plane at 8pm in Belfast and headed straight to the pub to drown my sorrows
EasyJet never gave me a fucking refund either and i still have an un-used ticket stub.
years down the line and i still never got over what happened haha

Took a wrong turn on the way to a Ginger solo gig and drove straight into an army base and a squaddie with a gun stood in front of the car looking none too impressed. Didn't miss the gig though

A day trip to Dudley and back for their post-reformation show.
OK, that's cheating. And they've redeemed themselves a hundred times over since...

Trip to Wulfrun Hall from Leeds in the fog - no doubt - it was INTENSE! Concentrating on driving in the thick fog for 3 & 1/4 hrs is not my idea of fun!

I went down to Junction 7 in Notts couple of months back. My mate got a return train ticket for £32.50 and then lost the outwards one. It cost him £32.00 for another. Thats fucked up maths.

Mine was a best and worst in one fell swoop.
Went to see Clam Abuse at the Fleece and Firkin few years back with my mate Chris. I got speaking to a gorgeous girl who I ended up copping off with - but I didn't see her before the end of the night so I never saw her again.
Also that night, me and marte Chris decided to miss the last train home in order to see the full Clam set. However, we got chased through St Pauls, and later picked up by the police who questioned us about a burglary. After realising their mistake a few hours later (we were in Swansea when it happened guv!) we were realeased. Only to realise I had lost an expensive camera - whilst our short stay in the salubrious St Paul's.
Cue frantic looking for camera (which we didn't find). So we went to the bus station giving up hope and looking to catch the first bus back to Swansea in the morning. The bus arrived on time - although small hitch: we were £5 short, and the woman would not let us on for cheaper. We were about to ring our parents (who must have been really pissed off with us, as we were only 15) for help until a guy who was in school with us was coming back from a rugby tour and kindly lent us the money to get the bus fair home.
Cue massive bollocking and Russian-sized hangovers the next morning. Looking back tho it always raises a smile. Never did find out what happened to that lass tho.......

That's an astonishing story above, Ben. I was at the gig and it was relatively uneventful for me... well, as uneventful as you could possibly describe a Clam Abuse gig!

The gig was quiet a bizzare one wasnt it? I spent most of the time down the front - tho Alex Kane scared the shit of me with his mic head butting skills.
I later tried the same when I had my own band - fuck me, didnt realise it would hurt so much and I would a small waffle like pattern on my head for the next week.

before i met the girl i have been with now for 2 years, every time i seen the band in Glasgow or Edinburgh there was always this lovely looking blonde girl at the shows.always with her mates and always was single.despite numerous bottles of Newcastle Brown consumed i never summoned up the bottle to ask her out haha.they were good times though.i hope she is well haha
Aberdeen in particular was funny when Stidi threw porn mags to the fans after the gig.Ollie (Evil Elvis) on this board will remember all about it.
remember losing my wallet in Dublin at one gig and having to get my mate to pay my fare home and lend me a few quid for the following nights show in Belfast.
another fond memory was meeting Danny in 2001 in Glasgow and ending up sitting with the band over a few pints in the bar before the gig.Aberdeen gig in 2003? getting twatted up the head with a full bottle of water chucked by Hot Steve and finally getting to meet Big Mick Hughes at that gig...what a fucking jovial and welcoming man
