Hi Guys,

been a long time lurker but thought I'd sign up to let you know that I found the new album in HMV piccadilly (London) today. Dunno if it's reached any other HMV outlets.

Sorry if anyone else has posted this, I certainly didn't see any mention of it.

All the best.

Dave

ps am giving it it's first spin and it sounds awesome so far!

They didn't have any in the Virgin Megastore at Piccadilly (formerly Tower Records) but the HMV along by Planet Hollywood had about ten copies.

Is that the Japanese version or the UK one?

Dave - can you confirm whether it is only available as a digipack?

Hi,

It's the UK version as it's only got ten tracks. I've got the Japanese version on order from HMV Japan as I want the extra tracks and the possibility of getting it early but when I saw it on the shelf I couldn't not get it despite being skint.

The UK HMV site says that it's released on the 23rd so I've no idea why they were on the racks today but am pleased they were.

It's a belter!

Good luck

Dave

it is the digipack version, with a rather snazzy booklet and a flyer for other round record releases. They only had one version in there.

Nick, I'd bell em before making a special trip as they only had around ten copies in stock and I've told a few mates as well as this forum and me Mrs emailed the list too. I'd hate for ya to make a special journey and come back empty handed.

If Piccadilly are flogging em, chances are the other big HMVs are too like Oxford St and Bond St.

Worth ringing ahead tho.

Does the booklet have any lyrics. like the Ginger albums?
And if so are there any glaring misprints!? :D

It says 'lyrics available at thewildhearts.com' dunno if they are up there yet tho. Haven't noticed any glaring spelling errors yet.

There's a page devoted to each band member with montages of live and studio shots, it's a nice booklet.

OK, cheers!
(and no they're not up yet but I wouldn't expect them to be)

That nearly happened in my store too. I think the distributor sent the copies out too early, cos in HMV anything that comes in as 'new release' is 99.9% for the following monday, so it probably got lumped in with the other new titles. It would have gone out if it had fallen to someone else to put it out that didn't know any better, but no, it was muggins here....
