Hello from a newbie!

Postby chahoua » 30th Apr 07, 00:53

Hello everyone,

I'm going to my first Wildhearts gig in Newcastle next week - I can't wait. My brother has been a fan since '92 and has always said that Ginger is the Lennon of our generation (late 20's). I have to admit I am really excited after hearing numerous live cds and dvds and listening to my brother rave on about him and the WH for years. His claim to fame is propping up the bar with Ginger at a solo gig in Scarborough a couple of years ago - mine is spotting him at the Dolly Parton gig in Newcastle last month!!

We're setting off to get to Newcastle for 2 - 3 o'clock from Redcar - where do people recommend going for a drink given that it is a bank holiday?

Bye for now. :D

P.S. This is going to be an experience for me as Take That is usually my kind of gig. I have rebelled against the norm in my household, parents and brother are huge rockers!!

No-one will ever convince me that 'Back For Good' and 'Never Forget' are any less than stone-cold pop classics; I'll give them that much.

There. I said it. :P

Well, she did get a mention in one of his songs. Granted it wasn't '29x The Pain' and the line had more to do with her cleavage, but it's not really a surprise to hear he's a fan.
