Thats the benfit of being only 5 miles from the venue I guess ;)

Cheers to JasonH for sorting my ticket out :D Nice to meet you.

Personally I thought the gig was excellent, support acts werre in-different, thought the first started shite and then got a whole lot better and then the last song followed a similar vein to the first so was a bit 'off', Sign were good in parts aswell, but as always we weren't there to see them.

The Wildhearts were AWESOME - real good mix of everything, not too much new stuff but enough to keep us interested. I will admit I had a bit of a 'not sure about this' type of feeling after reading on here about a short professional set, well it was short (well by the WH standard I guess) and it was quite slick, but had enough banter going on to keep the entertainment going, Ginger is a fantastic entertainer when it comes to the crowd - he seems to have a 'spark' ;) Thoroughly enjoyed myself, think that was time number 8 or 9 seeing this lot live - soon be hitting double figures

Venue was 'compact' to say the least but the sound quality was excellent IMO, been to places where the venue really isnt designed for music (if you've been to the Cockpit in Leeds you should know what I mean, corregated roof etc does nothing for sound travel).

Only took some pictures on my phone, nothing flash but came out alright...

Looks like a Totp's stage.

Not one of my funnier jokes was it, TOTP doesnt exist anymore therefore the stage isnt there anymore either.

It looks like they've arrived at the gig by jumping through a Stargate. Those crazy fucks!

Cheers Marc. Glad you enjoyed it. I went down the sweaty bit!

Revolution sounded incredible, am I alone in thinking it could be an enormous hit single? But not convinced by Rooting - the album version hasn't really clicked with me yet and tonight it just seemed to drag in parts. Not through unfamiliarity either, I knew what was coming next but for some reason couldn't get excited by it. Ho hum.

Fantasic gig.

I second the opinion that the venue was a little cramped. And yes it did look like the guys had travelled in through a stargate ;)

The music sounded great, the PA system was lovely - I could hear every word that was spoken and sung.

Very impressed by the whole show, can't wait for the next one :)

the thing that a couldnt get my head round was the audience - it looked like the youngest wildhearts crowd ive ever seen!

Surely the youngest WH crowd ever ain't a bad thing!!

Normally Manchester gigs seem to have same few hundered people there each time, just a few months/years older!

bring on the new flesh!!

Leeds gig was fantastic. The set was pretty much as for the other shows though we did get 'Revolution' instead of 'New Flesh.Strange venue but I will have to get used to it as I'm at two other gigs there this month.Sound quality was very good and they even serve a fair pint of Guinness!
Ginger was on top form and displayed an unhealthy obsession with W.A.S.P.!! He also treated us to a short burst of 'Looks That Kill' by Motley Crue at the beginning of 'Headfuck and advised everyone to "stay drunk as been sober is fuckin' shite, and days seem really fuckin' long"
Only 2 more hours to go until I set off for the Sheffield gig.Ace!
