I saw the band in 1996 play at the Newcastle Mayfair

I didn't see them at the Mayfair in '96,

Has this gig slipped off my radar, and if it did take place, why didn't I go???
I did see them there in '95 though, October 25th it was, support band was Send No Flowers, who I thought were pretty crap at the time, never heard from them again, so I dunno if they got any better or went any further

Send No Flowers were from my hometown (Bristol). They changed their name to Shinola for a bit (I think) and then split. The drummer was the initial drummer for SG5 (he played at the Astoria and the gig before that) - can't remember if he stayed on afterwards. But to be honest, I didn't think they were all that. Drummer was a gent though...
