I'm not sure which bit of the intro you mean, so here's the tab I've got :-

Code: Select all
TURNiNG AMERiCAN
THE WiLDHEARTS

All strings tuned flat (b) !
Intro :

Play Octaves !! for the intro chord sequence.....

EEEEE EEEEE D#D#D# BBBBB BBBBB BBB GGGGG GGGGG BBBBB BBBBB FFF

(Work out the above sequence for timing...pretty easy ....)

Then the picking guitar comes in....

Heres the riff :

E--------------------------------------
B--------------------------------------
G--------------------------------------
D--------------------------------------
A------- 9767------9767----------------
E---0670------670----------------------

This sequence kicks in playing the full chords....i.e.

E A# B E  G E D# E   A# B E    G E D# E

Then there's a picking turnaround......ala...

E------------------------------------------
B------------------------------------------
G-------------------------------------------
D-------------------------------------------
A------- 9767------234-----432----432----432-
E---0670------230-------33-----33-----33-----

then..... G# A     D C#  C G#

back to first kickin riff.....
before coming in to start the song.......phew !!

Verse 1:

E               A
Do you remember British achievement?

E (slide XXXX)  E (slide xxx...etc...)
'Cos it's a place where people happen

It's the corner of success
E              E
Everybody loves you
E              E

E              E
The smell of easy money
E              E
And you follow it to death
E
