Caffiene Bomb session in Wrexham

Postby gimme » 5th Aug 07, 01:13

Hi Ive spent the last 5 years living in a dump called Wrexham. Well anyway when I was flipping through the earth vs fold thing (on the casette tape) I noticed Caffiene Bomb was recorded in wrexham, I know this was due to the song being added onto the album and it was recorded with the rest of the album as the album was origanally released without it.

but my question is what other songs did they record at the session they did Caffiene bomb at, and was there any reason they chose Wrexham to record it in? hardly the first choice of place to record a single is it?

I don't know what the details are on what was recorded where, but Suckerpunch sounds to me like it was mixed or even recorded separately from the rest. There are things about that song that make it stand out in ways that even Caffeine Bomb doesn't stand out in.

From what i remember, Caffeine Bomb was recorded at the same time as 'shut your fuckin mouth...' and 'girlfriend clothes' and the three songs were originally intended as the Suckerpunch single release B-sides. The record company heard the tracks and decided that CB was so good, it should be the single itself. So they tagged on '....and the bullshit goes on' (which was originally on the b-side of greetings from shitsville) and released the single. The track was then later added to a re-release of the Earth Vs album after the single faired well in the charts.
Think thats all about right, but someone correct me if I'm wrong

BTW, anyone know WTF is going on in Therapyland???

They haven't toured the UK with this One Cure and they never came to Newcastle where they are usually very popular for the NANE tour

Ah but they did my friend, just never came to N East. The closest has been Leeds Cockpit for the last couple of tours, I've been there both times.

Saw a very drunken nick oliveri wandering the streets aswell!!!
