Has anyone actually seen it on tv?
Kerrang, Scuzz, MTV2 etc.
Iv'e only seen it on Youtube but it would be good to see it on a proper tv screen.

I've been wondering this...how do they decide which new videos to put on? I noticed Scuzz have recently added the Gallows to their list for the first time (and the song is actually quite good!) so why no wildhearts? I can understand they're not to everyone's taste but why is it they never get ANY recognition at all?
Even my boyfriend, who doesn't like 'our' kind of music admits that they're a "decent band".

I can never understand why some people don't like WH. Far as I'm concerned if anyone is a fan of Rock music then WH should be in everyone's top 10 bands...ever.

I used to think the same but have discovered that either people entirely love them or don't really like them. Doesn't seem to be much of an in-between state.

Too right... They're either "too pop" for the metalheads, or "too heavy" for the pop kids...
My mate Pete, who loves a lot of rock music, hates them with a passion and calls them "The Mildfarts". I know not to broach the topic with him, much the same as I never talk to him about Rage Against the Machine...

I've a few mates who think they're too samey... which is obviously bollocks. Back in the 90s they thought the Wildhearts where good but nothing like the way I took to 'em!
I think the New Flesh is an excellent song, but I agree rock TV would rather play the more heavier of The Wildhearts spectrum, and other TV won't even give them a chance unless something inspired them to do so (e.g. marketing, hype, etc.). IMHO If they had made a non-sweary video version of The Sweetest Song - I reckon Kerrang TV, etc. would have lapped it up.

I can't see how anyone can 'not' like the Wildhearts either but then I had a friend once who couldn't see how anyone could *not* like Westlife.
I do my best to brainwash friends but eventually I just have to accept that some people are born with no taste.

As one of the older members of this board I have to say I feel a bit sorry for the younger metal fans of today. As they have missed out on the classic rock/metal bands that were around when I first got into the scene in the early 80's. I just can't take some (not all) of the new bands. Too much shouty stuff. At least WH have melody, heaviness and singalongable tunes. So much diversity. It's our mission in life to spread the word as to how fantastic WH are.

It's been my experience that with The Wildhearts, you either love 'em or you've never heard of 'em. I've never run into a person who has given them a sporting chance that has actually disliked them... at least among those who appreciate music of this genre.

Ah, nicely done. *grin*
Though.. I hate to be contrary, but several of my friends quite like the band. They'll listen to the occasional track or will sometimes go see them live if they can be bothered.

Mhm. I'm sure you
really hate being contrary.
Maybe I just need to find better friends :/
