Batesy just back from St Albans wrote:Perhaps the biggest news of the night was this....

There are plans for a Wildhearts gig, during which they will play the first album and B-sides. It will be in London (not the Astoria, apparently) and will be filmed.

Not sure how certain this is, but the man himself said it...so just passing it on.

Gotta love that plan. :D

Brixton Academy anyone? First place in London that I ever saw them, and it's always been one of the best times.

Let's savour every line of the potential set list -

Greetings From Shitsville
TV Tan
Everlone
Shame On You
Loveshit
The Miles Away Girl
My Baby Is A Headfuck
Suckerpunch
News Of The World
Drinking About Life
Love U Til I Don't

Show A Little Emotion
Dangerlust
Down On London

Beautiful Thing You
Two-Way Idiot Mirror
29x The Pain

and, assuming Caffeine Bomb is seen as part of Earth Vs.:
Caffeine Bomb
Girlfriend Clothes
Shut Your Fucking Mouth And Use Your Fucking Brain
... And The Bullshit Goes On (would have to be played anyway, being the Greetings flipside)

I'd be there. Scary thing is that I typed this without even having to think despite not having listened to most of those records in a long time.

If this show happens I'll be a happy camper and will be there for sure, if the following don't happen

Out of the country (damn parents living abroad surprising me with tickets to see them you'd think they'd want me living out there with them)
Stomach ulcers going for a burton
Snow on the duvet
Someone letting me down where to stay at the last minute (hotels and B&B's are an expensive thing when you're a sick puppy like me y'see)
Terrorists holding the UN hostage
And snakes on a plane.

It'll would be weird if Danny wasn't involved with that.... as Scott does seem a integral part of the WH now.

How about dropping in some 'Mondo Akimbo..' stuff for old times sake? Love to hear 'Turning American' again as that was the first song of WH I really liked.

bring it on though, I'd travel from Scotland for that.

If the boy Mcormack was brought back then technically Stidi would have to be back aswell as Mr Battersby only played on Caffeiene Bomb and I doubt Ritch would travel all the way from York just to play one song.

technically true.... although my memory tells me that Stidi was gone before any major touring was done on 'Earth Vs'. So technically Ritch was the 'touring' drummer on 'Earth Vs' !!! Sorry Sarc I'm splitting hairs, but being this anal is what this board should promote!!!

No need to apologies dear boy, in a way we're both right, just as long as I'm more right than you are,but more to the point I wouldnt hold your breath for Stidi to be back on the drum stool, it'll be Ritch for whats left to come.
