'Bad Time To Be Having A Bad Time' Guitar Tab?

Postby sonicshake » 23rd Apr 08, 12:49

Just wondering if anybody out there has tabbed out this song yet?

The chords I've worked out already sound right to me, but the intro is the part I'm really stuggling with (and is the part I most wanna be able to play!).

Cheers in advance.

Assuming you mean the bit before the slide comes in, it's two different parts - the arpeggio bit and the 'solo' bit.

I can have a bash later if nobody else posts anything, but don't expect too much. I suck at not-chords.

Just out of interest, what are you playing over the middle section?

Cheers for replying mate. Sorry, yeah I meant the arpeggio bit before the slide.

I'll have to check the chords for the middle section a bit later on when I get home. From what I can remember though that was the only part of the song that I thought didn't sound spot on.

There was an actual full tab knocking around the net for this about 2000... Problem is, I never saved it, and can't remember it.

Really!? Aw, man. It's really hard (for me anyway!) to work out what Ginger's playing. Anyone else got any idea?

Here's the intro how I play it. It's pretty close, if not exact, but you'll have to work out the timing yourself. Timing is not a strong point of mine (just ask my wife.)

Code: Select all
BAD TiME TO BE HAViNG A BAD TiME (Intro only)

The Wildhearts

Eb--0-----------5-/-7--7-\-5--5--5-------5-5-5-5----------------
Bb--3--/-5-5----5-/-7--7-\-5--5--5---9---5-5-5-5---9---7-p-5-5--
Gb--5--/-7-7-------------------------9-------------9---7-p-6-6--
Db--------------------------------------------------------------
Ab--------------------------------------------------------------
Eb--------------------------------------------------------------

Eb--5-5-5-5-/-7--7--9------------7-7-7-7-\-5-5-5----5-5--------------------
Bb--5-5-5-5-/-7--7--9----10-10---7-7-7-7-\-5-5-5----5-5--9-9----9-9----7-7-
Gb------------------------9--9---------------------------9-9----9-9----7-7-
Db-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ab-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eb-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eb--5-5-5-5------------------------------------------------------
Bb--5-5-5-5--9--7-p-5-5---------9-9-9-9-h-10-10-/-12--12--14-14--
Gb-----------9--7-p-6-6---------9-9-9-9-h-11-11-/-13--13--14-14--
Db---------------------------------------------------------------
Ab---------------------------------------------------------------
Eb---------------------------------------------------------------

Into the slide riff

If anyone wants it I'll post the rest of the tune - let me know. It sounds better fingerpicked. On a similar subject, if anyone's got tabs for Jonesing for Jones or If I Had You (the Korgis cover), they'd be very much appreciated I've got most of em sussed but they don't sound quite right

I've got If I Had You and most of Jonesing For Jones, I'll try and get 'em up later.

Here's my problem: I am extremely close to being technologically retarded and when I attempt to put up the rest of "Bad Time" it just don't look right. Ean, if you've no objections I'll just email it to you and you can sort it out, make it look presentable and post it.

Have you tried pasting it between the code tags? like:
*paste tab here*
Just remove the spaces from the end of each bracket.

Cheers man. Fuck knows what I'm doin' wrong (trying to operate a computer, possibly). If anyone wants to take over the role of cleaner upper-er, I'll post a few more when I get em typed out (Do Anything, Got it on Tuesday, some SG5 stuff) There's a few i've sussed out that I've not seen anywhere.
