A question about ticketweb.

Just wondering has anyone who ordered their tickets through ticketweb for the December shows recieved them yet?
I know there's around eight weeks to go until the London show but usually when I've ordered through Ticketweb the longest I've had to wait is about two weeks and Mrs Sarc and I booked ours the very same morning they went on sale which was god knows how many weeks/months ago. Even though we've spoken to the company about it and they've told us they haven't sent them out yet we're a bit worried there's been a balls up.

Nope, still waiting for mine. It's always been closer to the date with them from what I remember.

Out of the hundreds of tickets I booked through ticketweb through the years, all of them have turned up with at least a week to spare, so I wouldn't worry mate.

Ticketweb have always been really good - have used them a lot over the years. If it's of any consolation, I ordered mine through SeeTickets and haven't recieved them yet.

SeeTickets are notoriously bad apparently.
I've only used them once but every other message board i post on has had a f**k SeeTickets thread at one time or another.

Usually Ticketweb are pretty decent but i think it depends on when venues/promoters get sent tickets .My New York Dolls tickets only arrived 2 days before the gig.

I ordered via the midlands box office for Wolves and the tickets arrived a few weeks ago.

Mine too, they've always been quick (I think the day after I ordered is the record) it's not quite the same scale though as they're effectively just the Civic box office online.

My ticket for the Oxford gig turned up within a week of ordering it.

Good service for a ticket agency for once

I dunno, I've used SeeTickets quite a bit - and they've always been very good (apart from their extortionate booking fees etc - but this seems to be the same with every agency these days) - the only time they've buggered me about at all was with my tickets for Reading Festival 2006 - they turned up literally half an hour before I was due to head up there.

My tickets for Sheffield & Glasgow both turned up around about a week after I ordered them (both from ticketweb), can't complain at all about the service.

Last time I used See, they almost caused me to miss a Wildhearts gig at Newcastle Uni, phoned them up with a week to go before the gig and asked where me ticket was, checked the records, said it had been posted that morning, phoned again two days before the gig and said they'd send out a replacement and I should get it on or before the day of the gig and yes, you've guessed, no ticket.

Had to phone AGAIN and say it hadn't showed up, they said they'd have tickets at the door for me to collect on arrival, and they were. So, it begs the question, did they fuck up and not actually send any tickets out twice and just wanted me to collect on the dor all the while or what??

Decided from then, i'd never use them again

I got my ticket for Sheffield through pretty soon after I booked it, but I'm still waiting for the Manchester one which I booked a month ago. Image

If you've not received your tickets and you called up to get them put on the door for you then they have probably had new tickets allocated to you for the door because the original ones have gone missing. They won't have been the same ones and they won't have been trying to get you to pick them up on the door all along - it'll just have been a cock up with sending them out. I have fond memories of mugging the postman for my Reading '98 tickets on the same morning I was meant to be getting on the train. Well, I say fond...

I tend to use TicketWeb mostly, as they are usually (but not always) cheaper than See or Stargreen. Ticketweb rip-off fees are less than other agencies - or so I thought until I bought a Chuck Berry ticket yesterday and got ripped off for virtually the same amount See were charging - about £8 on top of the ticket price. I was pretty disgusted. :x

Wegottickets seem to be cheapest at the moment, but they seem to cater mainly for the smaller events - they don't send out actual tickets and you get a virtual ticket with a serial number to print out. It seems to work though, and they only charge a £1 fee and no postage! :D

Did you use Ticketweb? I did, and (unusually for them) am still waiting for my tickets.

I ordered my tickets for glasgow on the day they were released from ticketscotland.com.
they are usually cool but i still havent received them and they told me they think theyve been lost in the post and they will send a message to the venue telling them ive paid etc etc, but im not very happy with that to say the least!!
i'd better get in!
