I think we've had a similar question on here before, it is in Region two but there's a website which is here http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/hackable.asp which he should be able to find his player on and grab the code to make it multi region, if not all he has to do is have a shifty round the web and he should come across it eventually.

Wow. That's not an at all annoying site to navigate. Haven't they heard of Alphabetisation? Or even searching by make?

He could look into this version which is listed as being NTSC, and might be region 1. It also might mean it's a Japanese region 2, but as I can't find it listed on any of the Japanese online stores, I don't know if it's been released there or not. :?

Cheers guys, unfortunately he plays most of his dvd's thorugh his Xbox 360 which i'm fairly sure isn't very hackable.

Funnily enough, we were chatting about music over Xbox Live which is when we decided to bridge the cultural divide with some music swapsies. He sent me Lamb Of God as they're from his home town and i sent him a mis tape of a certain Geordie band - he now LOVES 'em!

I did try a quick search to see if there were any region 1 versions of the dvd but to no avail.....

The person at the other end could always make a backup of his original DVD in something like AnyDVD/DVD shrink and use the software to make it region free so he could watch it on his xbox360 :D

It's not region free. I tried it in my regular dvd player and it wouldn't recognize it.

Well, if anyone comes across a region 1 version of the "Live in the studio" dvd then post on here - it would be greatly appreciated. :)
