Just been listening to the fantastic Live begins at 40 album and this got me thinking wouldnt it be great if Willie came back to th fold he is such a talented guy with a great voice after all he did work on the fishing for luckies album which lets be fair is some of the best work ever produced by the wildhearts.
Or perhaps if he came back n just did a few b sides or something with the guys rather than a full album and tour. Come on lets be honest here it would be fab who is with me?

As far as I'm concerned Honeycrack was by far the best Wildhearts reated band that was not the Wildhearts, rivalling even the Wildhearts on some songs.
Willie Dowling is a very talented chap indeed. All hail, erm, him.

Hasn't the line-up situation been fucked-up enough over the past few years without bringing someone (however talented) in just to do b-sides?
I love Mr Dowling (I nearly wrote "I love Willie" but then thought of the comments that would follow if I did ....) but we should be looking forward, not back.

come on this is the wildhearts cj and rich have both been and gone b4 don't think it would make that much diffrence if willie came back i just thought it would be intresting to hear the songs that might get recorded that was all.
oh and while were on the subject how great is it to have rich back such a solid great drummer i never really got on with stidie. there live sound in wolves just sounded so much fuller and awsome.

He was never in The Wildhearts - he played keyboards on one tour I think.
The man is a God amongst men for sure, but this seems like a bit of a random request...

Let's not. Willie is talented for sure, but I see no need for him in The Wildhearts at the moment.
Ginger decision anyway.

maybe he could play for ginger every other day,
do his own new stuff the rest of the week
and do Grip gigs on saturdays

But that would only leave February 29ths for Honeycrack reformations...

Ah, see, but that doesn't leave him any time to whore himself out writing lucrative TV themes.

He'll just have to squeeze them in after breakfast,
which leaves the afternoon for scoring west end plays.
.... by the way, Willie, if you're reading this, we're serious!

I'm gonna be greedy, I want a sooped up Wildhearts.
The current line up PLUS:-
Willie Dowling on 3rd guitar, vocal harmonies and songwriting duties with Ginger and CJ
Stidi on another drumkit
and psycho backing choir of Random, Jef, Devin, Toshi, Mark Keds and Danny.
Or and er, yeah, me as well on 4th guitar and vox (why not stick my neck out)

I've always fantasised about a Donington made up of the Wildies family tree. How's this sound for starters...
Main stage
Wildhearts
Dogs D'Amour
Quireboys
Wolfsbane
Honeycrack
Tattooed Love Boys
2nd stage
The Grip
The Yo-Yos
Antiproduct
Supershit 666
Jellys
Clam Abuse... with Howlin' Willie

I'm all for keeping CJ busy, but d'you not think being on 2 stages at once is pushing it a bit?
