Grand Theft Audio?

Postby my3dtvtan » 25th Jun 07, 12:00

Just a thought but can anybody give me any info on Grand Theft Audio?

I ordered the album "Blame Everyone" purely due to my obsessive compulsion to own every Wildhearts related item (A happy curse :) ) but Ive never actually herd anything by them :(

Can anybody help me with album reviews, did they only make one album, where they a decent band ect.....

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

They where a fucking brilliant band, simple as, electronica rock hybrid with huge fuck off choruses.

They only ever had one album out which was a shame, but i managed to get my hands on a promo of the album due to an old friend doing their website (he went to see them play in the states but the poor sod was to young to get in the club so he had to watch them through the window) and the version of As Good As It Gets is slighty different by the effects Chris Mcormack used on his guitars, they only ever got one single out for We Luv U when it was featured on the terribly under rated film the Hole (pre Pirates fame Keira Knightley and for the pervs on the board she flashes the screen at some point ) and also their other song Stoopid Ass was featured on the soundtrack and in the film of Due Where's My Car.

Its an amazing album and i highly doubt youll be dissapointed
Did you just say "Pig Flute"?

They're pretty good. I like the album a lot. It's kind of techno-hip-hop-tinged heavy British punk-pop. I don't know if that helps.

There are some great anthemic choruses in there though. You should like it.

The We Luv U single had three b-sides, Refusing The Last Line, Fuk U Iz It and Under The Landfill. They're pretty good but the album is ace. If you're interested in these tracks, my friend, let me know.

I bought the album on the strength of the positive opinions of this thread and the fact I was able to find a soon ending copy on ebay for 90p soon after reading this thread...
First opinions, rather good and some instantly catchy stuff such as the opening track and "As Good as it Gets"...bits of it make me think Pitchshifter mixed with something else...

I saw them live a few times and thought they were fantastic. I think the album is a bit patchy though - some of it's great, but there is some filler on there too. It's certainly worth getting if you see it at a reasonable price.
