I heard the track last night on Radio 1. Thought it was average at best.

I heard the new song 'Rock & Roll Train' and it sounds exactly like you would expect it to. It's unmistakely them, but the song itself is pretty average - which suggests the album will be the same as they probably chose the best song to preview... To be honest, I think there are better songs on the Airbourne album than 'Rock & Roll Train'.

Ah, the album will be great. The sound is, for a start - way better than Razor's Edge or the late 80s albums. I agree that RnR Train isn't a classic in the making, yet it's a grower, a groover and I fully expect there'll be better songs on that album - but who could be the judge of that anyway? (Btw, I would not have expected them to release a single that doesn't have a 4/4 chorus.)

The Airbourne album is really good, but what makes Black Ice way more interesting is that it heralds a world tour that'll deafen us with faves old and new. Accuse me of nostalgia if you will, but I'm looking forward to that no end.
