Just got in to them recently and im fuckin loving em! The Beast And The Harlott and Almost Easy are stormers, some of the best riffs ive heard since Metallica! I wouldnt call em nu metal i think their a bit too catchy to be classed as nu metal. Very talented musicians and good song writters - Synester Gates pisses all over most guitarists of today and the drummer is fuckin class aswell!

their first album is an above-average hardcore record with hints of metal, "waking the fallen" is a frankly fecking amazing metal album (when it came out, me and my mates were calling it "the album metallica should've made instead of st. anger"), "city of evil" is alright but wears thin quickly, and i really can't get into the newest one at all.

I lke their newer more commercial songs as they add more light and shade to the music comapared to the odler stuff which, from what I have heard sounds quite samey. Afterlife and Almost Easy are really cool songs.

listen to waking the fallen - there's a lot of light and shade, especially in "I wont see you tonight" parts 1 and 2, and the last track.
