Goooooood Afternoon!!

Just a word or three of warning to the local listees to allow plenty of time for travelling to Shields - it's been snowing all day so be careful out there...

At least it's an excuse to leave the car and get the bus... See you at the bar!!!

I mailed him yesterday and told him I wasn't going.

I think he's still recovering from tonsillitis so he wasn't too keen on going out either!!

I made the trip to Leeds. They were fantastic. Happy to finally see a headline gig, having previously caught one support slot (Shepherd's Bush) and one festival (Reading).

Anyone attending the South Shields gig would have seen the debut of new bassist Pete, although Steve returned for his final appearance at the Leeds gig. From Manchester on, Pete (who posts on here occasionally) is in the hot seat. I met him in Leeds and he's a top bloke.

There was a new song in the set which sounded great, and Little Elvis doing "Suspicious MInds" with the band in the encore. What more could you ask for?

And on a personal note, I had a curry in the Bengal Brasserie (as featured in the Cribs video) and it's every bit as good as they said it is. And had a nice chat with the proprietor (also in the video) but couldn't get him to sing. Shame.[/url]

Yeah, apologies for the delay but have been recovering....

The Brudenell gig was ace. I'm convinced they should take Little Elvis out on the road with them when they get a bit bigger, that was great fun. I now understand the 'holds 568ml of fun in a glass that holds but 330ml' thing :D

To anyone who can make it to Manchester, I say go. It's a friday night, what more could you ask for?

p.s. Damian since you met Pete and also non-Pete does that cancel out the existence of Pete? ;)

Nope - it just re-emphasises the awesomeness of all concerned. :)
