This is a very special benefit show for Tommy Tee, much loved friend and manager to New Model Army and The Almighty. Tommy passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in December 2008 leaving behind his wife Jube and their three children.
Tommy was legendary in the music industry. He worked with New Model Army for 27 years + as tour manager, then manager. He managed The Almighty from the band's start in 1988 (playing to just a dozen people in Glasgow) until 1993 (playing infront of 65,000 people at Donington!). Tommy was respected and loved by those NMA and Almighty fans around the world who had met him. He was a friend first, manager second. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him! He loved the road and helping fans in any way he could. Seeking out rare LPs, merchandise, sold out tickets, autographs, directions to a gig etc. And for the band members themselves, he was an undeniable force of encouragement. He led the way. Particularly to Floyd and me during Floyd's battle with leukaemia (Floyd from The Almighty).
Tommy is missed so very much by so many. As a fitting tribute to him, this one-off show is for Tommy's Fund and his family.
Tickets are £25 although possibly subject to a booking fee depending on where you buy them! Cheese & Grain box office number is below but also try Seetickets, Ticketweb & Wegottickets.com
