i got the first album and it was pretty good, although i haven't listened to it in ages. they still on the go then?

Aye, they still on the go. They were tipped as the new Nirvana from what I remember, although I think that was down to the singer shirt rather than music!!!

Personally, I've never heard Nine Black Alps but one of my current favourite bands is the Sorry Kisses which is a collaboration featuring Sam Forrest from Nine Black Alps & Hayley Hutchinson, a York-based alt. country/folk singer....

Their album 'Hard Drive' is amazing, a really good summer, alt-pop harmony-fest.
