The death of manufactured pop would be a good start.

Failing that a horrible slow death for Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell

I have a horrible feeling it could edge towards double figures. I feel sick just thinking about it.

Happy New Year!

My wish for 2007 is ... to not get 10 colds, as I had in 2006. Unbelievable. Just about everything I planned to do in 2006 got blighted by illness although I usually forced myself along. The Wildhearts gig at Wolves was a happy exception and I also thought I had avoided double figures for colds. Until Christmas Eve.

I should point out I eat healthily, don't usually drink much (apart from at Ginger-related gigs) and swim daily. So basically my New Year's message to you all is to live as unhealthily as possible because it makes no odds! :)

Maybe you should dry yourself off better after swimming.
Isn't it ironic that not many people know the meaning of the word esoteric?

My wish for 07 is to get at least 2/3 of my band's album recorded.

I'm pretty particular about that! But I do wonder if that's where all the colds come from...

Funny you should say that...... my one and only cold of 2006 developed the day after I went swimming for the first time in ages. I love swimming, but it put me off no end!

as for 2007......

1. Get plenty of bands lined up for photography and hopefully more press passes and festivals than you can shake a stick at :p
2. Go somewhere further than europe
3. Get Married.... (although according to my bank balance, that may not happen for a while!!!)
4. Learn when to say no to the third bottle of red wine.... (sorry loulou / brett !!! won't do it again, i promise!!!)
5. Convince everybody that really they're big hippies at heart, and to all stop and hug each other at least once a day (okay, that ones a bit daft, but y'know what i mean!!!)

1. To have everything go reasonably smoothly when I finally move into my own place
2. To improve on my friendships with the people I love so we can all say we had a better time this year
3. The All Blacks to win the rugby world cup

That's not a wish, that's a foregone conclusion... Your others were good though

My new year will be based around trying to sort out the hosue we bought last year... So, Get a new boiler, try to decorate at least one room, and somehow, after that, find the money for a holiday...

Yeah, well I'm wary of being too smug too far in advance!

Well, as long as Dan Carter stays fit then it's all sewn up... Although even without him they're better than everyone else...

Having said that, for the WC in South Africa the All Blacks were far and away the best team in the world.
