How about Ginger!? :P

Well he did say once that his dream band position would be playing rhythm guitar for a reformed Guns n' Roses. This would be close enough. At the very least Ginger would FINALLY get some recognition for his talents.

They could just get rid of the guitarist that nobody knows or cares about and slot him in on guitar and vocals.

Fucking hell, this started as a joke but just imagine Ginger, Duff and Slash playing together! Big Wildhearts-esque riffs, melodies and attitude, killer 'Appetite For Destruction-era' solos and showmanship and a massive ready-made fanbase. Job done.

Because Slash, Duff et al are probably just desperate for another flame haired singer with a well developed ego...

What?

OK, so his last album wasn't great. But the live shows were stunning. He has a great band behind him right now and they have been playing some stunning shows pulling in songs from his whole career.

He is way too good for VR.

you're right, he IS way too good for VR.

but the only way i'll listen to any Cornell stuff again is if it's in the form of a soundgarden reunion!
IF THERE'S A SOUND YOU PLAY THAT DOESN'T FIT TODAY,
WHY NOT JUST PLAY THE BASTARD ANYWAY?!
