As in can't get hold of it? - See above.
As in 'forgotten album'? Really?! I always thought that one was held up as the Manics hitting their best?

I was having the same discussion a bit further back in this thread aboot semi-detached by therapy? not forgotten but i always thought it was over-looked... although i could be contradicting myself here having just bought the 10th anniversary edition!

hmmm... still an amazing album that can't go unmentioned :D :?:

I'd love to get my dirty little mitts on some Man From Del Monte, Big Noise and The Good Things In Life especially.

I was told by a guy in teh Music Exhange in Manchester a few months ago that they sometimes get old vinyl copies in, so perhaps I should keep a check in there....

That said, not having heard it for years, part of me doesn't want to find it as I'm sure it's not as good as I remember it to be, and owning it again migh make loose it's mystical status!!

this morning i was reminded how awesome "high anxiety" by therapy? sounds... some of their albums suit the more low-fi rattly production but this one is big & shiny and needs to be played very loud indeed :P

Carrie were rather ace. Years ago I was fortunate enough to come across a promo of Caring Sharing Song which was to be their next single but never was. I don't know if the B-Sides, Jump In Traffic and About Los Angeles, were ever easily available but if you want them let me know. Or any of their other B-Sides for that matter. Great band and a handpainted 7" of theirs is one of my prized possessions!

Joyrider's Be Special still sounds magnificent. Rediscovered:

Mordred - The Next Room
Kinky Machine - Bent
Sister Double Happiness - Heart And Mind
Skyscraper - Superstate

Although never released I have the retail CD's for both parts of Caring Sharing Song, CD1 has the two b-sides you mentioned and CD2 has 'Money Maker' and 'Hounds' as the b-sides. Let me know if you need them.

I have the handpainted Friend 7" too, I used to have pictures of them painting them but can't find them. From what I remember they layed down all the blank record covers on the floor and then they (Carrie) and some fans squirted a load of poster paint and walked across the overs, hence each one being different.

just bought their first album "beyond hypothermia." you'd hardly know it was the same band that did "antenna." they went from brutal metalcore to poppy spacerock. both are still awesome though.
