yeah Bruce had alluded to this throughout the tour for the new album so while not a big surprise once again its still great news

had to laugh at MetalHammer magazine claiming that Download promoters were looking to bag Maiden since the inception of Download.unless i was on drugs i could swear i seen them in the flesh in 2003 at Download

hopefully they play the AMOLAD set again.that ruled

now all we need is The Wildhearts to headline the 2nd stage or at the very least bag a spot on the main stage

Maiden won't play the whole of AMOLAD again, but i'd imagine it'll be pretty well represented in the set. maybe they'll dust off Aces High or Powerslave in preparation for the next Early Days tour.
The only way me and the wife'll go to Download is if the 'Hearts are playing so I'm praying for that. Headlining the second stage (or tent) anyone? so long as it's not at the same time as Maiden.
Any clue who the other headliner's are likely to be?

fella in work had said My Chemical Romance

you're right that it will more than likely be The Early Days part 2.

knowing the way luck works, it will dictate that the WH's woule be on the same time as Maiden

Friday is My Chemical Romance

Saturday is Linkin Park

so far, no other bands confirmed, so, only one out of three I'd like to see (which is obviously Maiden, even though I've seen them 3 times)

apparently Motley Crue are doing it as well as Megadeth, Slayer and The Cult for the Sunday night
