For those who've asked in the past about an easy way of downloading Audio or Video clips from places like Myspaz and Youtube, an answer has arrived.

Those nice chaps over at RealPlayer have helpfully integrated a widget for nicking online vids into RealPlayer11, so get yerselves over there and download it.

And it's free! :D

Awesome! There used to be a way to do this, but it got disabled over a year ago, and I haven't figured out how to do it since then.

Thanks Ean.

Cheers for this, this is genious. Notice you can do it to most websites that have got streaming vids, doesn't work from links that have linked from youtube though (eg the destroy all monsters vid on the WH website). But then you go to the source don't you!!

Yeah the Real Player one is pretty good.

Theres also a free video downloader you can get free if you use Mozilla Firefox as well...i haven't tried it yet though so dunno if it's any good.

It works on them too - you have to activate the video player though.

They're set not to buffer the video until you want to use them as it saves bandwidth that way, so Realplayer can't see them until you turn them on.

As opposed to, for example, the Youtube page that hosts the video where it automatically buffers as it assumes you are visiting the page to watch the video. :D
