Yes, it's Scott Weiland

I thought it was really good, could have been a better sound though.

Personally I could hardly hear Scott's singing as the guitars and bass we're just too loud, for my liking, tht was the online downside I could see

I was at the show in Leeds, it seems the hobo look is in this year...
They were really really good, but a lot of that got canceled out by just how much I hate the Refectory as a venue, it sucks. Plus I got stuck behind a 7ft tall bloke with a camera phone.
I had a much better time watching them at Download last year. If I have to go watch them indoors again I'm borrowing stilts.

I thought they were ok, just ok. The magic seems to have gone out of VR. Everything about them seems to make them money grabbin bastards. Checkout their website, the forum is for members only. Membership costs....

Tickets for last nite worked out at a whopping £36.

I caught the vocals ok but the guitars weren't quite right, dunno if they were cranked right up or not.

I love watching Scott, think he's a great frontman.

I can explain that. It's how they do their business, who in the (old) business they are associated and signed with, and the mentality of the old players. A lot of that is in the Amer-Brit thread. The old GNR members only see or know the way they got big, and they don't seem to know or understand the business itself. That means they think things still work the way they used to, and they believe their old business people who say nothing changed. The old school mentality IS "money, money, money". (I was really put off when I saw Buckcherry's sponsorlist on their site. :-/) Those people use the willing musicians of old to milk the paradigm for every last cent they can get now with no foresight about future income. They think bands are disposable. In this case, VR AND "Axl's solo project" don't see that everything's different now, so they trust other "professionals" to handle their business - like The Darkness did. You're exactly right - the magic is gone and so are their careers. I was a HUGE GNR fan originally, but they won't play in the computer age. They want money. They don't understand the days of abusing fans, i.e. raping your money, is over. It's sad, but it opens all doors for other, newer bands who ARE flexible and computer savvy.

its a shame really cus i can't see any of these guys needing the money anyway so why not strip it all down, go on the road with minimal lights ,production, crew an keep the tick prices down to.its not as if it was an arena tour where you would expect these things for value for money.
