Anyone like this band?

Their new album 'Rock and Awe' was released on Monday through Not On Your Radio - the same label as The Loyalties

The tracks Hell on Earth / Rock and Awe are on their myspace

Saw them when they were 3rd band on the bill on the Motorhead/ Wildhearts tour of 2003, can't really say they did a lot for me to be honest :(

I was really into them when they came out - saw them quite a lot through that there Motorhead and Wildies tour (there's many a story in that one...), and then again supporting the Darkness. I thought they were a really good live band but the record didn't much do it for me.

I'd be quite eager to hear the new one though - how is it Mattie?

Listened to it once quite quietly, once on headphones, and now once pretty damn loud.
I didn't listen to the whole of the first album that regularly tbh, and had forgotten about it until I noticed a new one, but...

I would say there's a lot more emphasis on the female vocals this time, a bit more singing and it's a bit less hectic - beyond the first two tracks anyway! (those are the myspace ones)

The slightly slower songs help the guitars come through a little more too, with a good amount of 'groove'.

I have no live experience to compare it to.
It's in digipak form, no booklet.

Loud with proper bass on good speakers is best!

I've seen them virtually every time they have played in London (apart from the Motöhead/WH support) and they are one of the most exciting live bands I've ever seen! I'm really looking forward to seeing them again next week - bought my ticket months ago. :D

PS: I think you'll find the London date is actually
9th April. Well I bloody hope it is, 'cos that's what's printed on my Underworld ticket!

Sorry - it's just the way I read it! The format was a bit confusing... :coat:
