Yep, "Country Girl" is great and so are they.

It's a pity they have to act like idiots so much of the time though and make out as though they're "rock 'n' roll renegades". Their performance at last year's Glastonbury being a case in point.

Awesome band.Country Girl is mint but I love everything they have ever done.
From 'I'm losing more than I ever had' to 'Shoot speed/Kill light' and beyond,all classic stuff.
Proper hit and miss live though,saw them two nights running on the XTRMNTR tour and it was like two different bands.Sheffield,incredible and Leeds, fucking shite!

True. I ought to balance my comment above by saying I've seen some great Scream gigs. But never see them on a big outdoor stage in daylight. Darkness suits them and every light gig I've seen has had them stropping and playing badly...

Ooo, Primal Scream fans! One of my super-favourite bands.

The new album rocks so much.

In my experience their concerts are reliably bouncy and fantastic - last saw them in April at the Ritz in Manchester, and it was ace. Now need to wait til November to see them again.. (Tho they seem to generally do poor performances at festivals, it seems..)

the new album is tedious pub rock in my opinion - 'Tonight, Matthew, I'm Going To Be....'

I prefer Quireboys' 'Bittersweet and twisted' to 'Riot City Blues'. Exterminator was much better.
