i haven't been to the cinema for ages, i think the last one i saw was St. Trinians, which I'd give an 8/10, as i'd been talked into seeing it by one of my girl mates, and was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining it actually was!
IF THERE'S A SOUND YOU PLAY THAT DOESN'T FIT TODAY,
WHY NOT JUST PLAY THE BASTARD ANYWAY?!

I just watched Cloverfield on Saturday (R1) and I thought it was ace. 8/10.
Short, sharp and more than a little unnerving!!!

Last week watched There Will be Blood and that is a solid 9, creeping up towards 10. Everything about it was class. Day-Lewis was so magnetic I could have watched Plainview do his thing all day long!!! Johnny Greenwood did a great job with the score as well, sond like a horror movie at times, it accompanies the tension and the unsettling undercurrent of the film down to the ground!!

Got The Ophanage at the same time but I haven't watched it yet.
Did you lie to us, Tony?

see... everyone i've spoken to it has said that (about cloverfield) but it really did nothing for me...

although... i was dragged away from the bar to go see it when i wasn't in the mood to watch a film & was also, aswell as friends, with my girlfriend of that time... so maybe i should give the film a second watch...

One of the last films I watched recently was Shock Treatment (kinda a sequal to Rocky Horror) and at first thought it was bobbins until I got into it. I have to give it a 7/10 and wonder why so few people havn't seen it.

Porridge The Movie, I will not hear a bad word said about Ronnie Barker, the show was fantastic and the film was just as good, I think one of the few times a filme of a tv show has actually worked.

I am Legend - 6/10, Will Smith was outacted by a dog and the vampires were rubbish...

Eastern Promises - 9/10, hard-hitting and controversial, but really gripping story. Vincent Cassell plays a nutcase so well.

The Likely Lads film was fuggin ace as well.

Then again, that and Porridge were both written by Clement and La Frenais

Last time I went to the pictures was to see The Others, liked it, only thing that spoilt it was Nicole Kidman's shite English accent

Death proof 0/10

if thought it was kinda weak for a tarentino flick but overall still pretty fucking cool, i'd give it 7/10

yeah, they were pretty poor. the vampires in 30 days of night are way more effective - real actors + make up instead of dodgy cgi. that was a class film.

I sense bollocks being spoken here, Guest House Paradiso was awful the only time i laughed was when Eddie was riding his bike while reading the paper and drinking a pint, I hate to say this but Ade Edmonson and Rik Mayall just arent funny anymore.
As for Beavis and Butthead the only decent bit was the trippy scene that Mr Zombie (not the Mr Zombie from *the Incredible Screw On Head cuz he hadnt been invented then) animated.

* wonders how many of the boardees will know what I'm on about.

Have you seen the Bank Job with Jason Statham? I seem to recall that was written by them which came as a surprise as I thought one of them was dead.
