I'm traveling round the UK from Australia and want to pick up some tickets to a few shows, but online there are so many different ticketing agencies.

For a couple of the shows i found www.ticketline.co.uk/ offered the best tickets, but according to the venue website ticketmaster (who have shit tickets) are the official ticket seller for the gig.

Is ticketline.co.uk legit?

where you can, it's probably best to order online from the actual venues and pick up your ticket at the door (make sure you bring the card you paid with though!). that's what i usually do if i can. i don't trust the post too much lol!

Sod the post don't use Seetickets, their fees are extortionate, I live five minutes up the road from their offices and the bastards still charged me a fiver to deliver tickets when I could have quite easily picked them up from their offices if someone was willing to meet me but no its not company policy , they also charge their staff the same and they work in the sodding office so basically DO NOT use see tickets.

All big ticket agencies = barstewards. I should know, I used to work for one.

Basically handling and service charges have got totally out of hand these days, I'd say go via the venue wherever possible, or local record shops. If you're overseas most folk should offer you an option to pick the tickets up on the door if you bring your card you booked on and your booking reference.

I think you're doing the right thing to shop about - The tickets I bought for Velvet Revolver would have cost me at least £10 extra in just fees had I bought them from the main seller, in the end I found a site linked to the venue that posted them to me at cost and only charged a modest fee. Same tickets, same service, big difference!

ticketweb is part of ticketmaster.

Also worth looking at wegottickets.com - not as wide a choice of tickets but often cheapest

In fact it is often worth looking at all the sites including see as they all seem to be varying fees these days... naver downwards though

Always use the venue box offices or local ticket vendors whenever possible. For instance, for Bristol gigs I use www.bristolticketshop.co.uk. A mixture of the websites for the bands you want to see and Google should set you right.
