Would have loved to go to the show last night but couldn't afford the train fare.
I would have been spamning you all with flyers for the Eureka's gig in Croydon on the 13th Sept if i'd have been there, so I though I'd best do it here & now. 8)
SHUSH are on the bill too, as well as some of Croydon's finest. It's exactly 1 week before the Earth Vs show, and a reccomendation for any local listee.
(5 mins walk from East Croydon station, & it's a Saturday night, 4 bands 4 quid)

if anyone wants to help promote this gig, please go ahead and copy/repost the flyer.

p.s - thanx to Damian + VickyP for the help with the EM logos \m/

Some fairly serious changing of personal arrangements would be necessary but I can't deny I'm highly tempted. In the end I don't think I can make this but will see.

"Don't Ignore them. People Bore them, Open wide and Sing To Croydon"

-- only a week to go. And free Jager goodies too! Bring your Mum!

Based of the strength of the first night of the tour (last night) I would say that you're in for a lot of fun and you should definitely go. Do take your mum too (provided she's not easily offended by foul language), I know mine would love it.

It was really good to see lots more folk in Eureka Machines T-shirts last night, jumping around down the front and singing along. Good to have some company!

I added a little comment by way of encouragement to the poor benighted denizens of Croydon

...and a very good night it was!

I'm still amazed that Chris didn't crack his head on the ceiling...

Saw EM last night in Leicester, and had a thoroughly wonderful time, shame there was only about 20 people there.

Chris was on about a shooting in Croydon during their gig - I take it was that outside, not in the venue itself.

had a chat with Davros & Mr Morricone afterwards, sounds like they're all up for Wildies at Christmas, but waiting for confirmation this weekend - I do hope so.

Brilliant work as usual. I need to get a few more of your pictures onto the website. Definitely including this one!

Much as I love the band - they were great at Reading, and I'll be down the front on Saturday for them - I kind of hope they don't. There are already two supports for December, and that's plenty. Any more and you either get truncated support sets, which does nobody justice, or less WH, which I can't imagine anybody wants? :?

there was an incident in South Croydon (not near the venue) and a few folks had to take alternate routes to the gig as there were roads closed down due to a shooting, it hasn't been reported yet, but really shocking to hear. It comes after Friday night where there was a murder in the same area - all round the back of my place - too close to home really! so I was a bit weirded out by it all, but today, just now, I met Brian Blessed in town, dressed as Captain hook (him, not me) - and the gig rocked and everyone's ok - so this town is going back up in my estimation,

Now that would improve anyone's day. Is he available for hire?

These boys need a bigger stage. And a higher ceiling.

Trudi - Got any more ace photos from Saturday?

Loads more to upload but my MA project is due in less than a month, so I need to (try to) step away from the photos and pretend to do some work for a bit
