It isn't often I get to type a title like that!

Had a good chat with Random outsde the gig on Saturday. He tells me that the new album is progressing well and he only has to add vocals and a few Jase guitar solos. Should be released early in the New Year.

The rumours of his summer employment driving the train along the front at Brighton are true - and he really enjoyed it! The thought scares me a bit but would have loved a photo of it.

Hooray!

I thought they were brilliant at Shepherd's Bush. The one advantage of me joining the wrong queue was that I managed to grab a quick chat with Jon too. Then later on I got to rub his head. I don't think he minded.

Yea I thought that all things considered (like not actually rehearsing - apparently in the time they did get to rehearse before the gig the drum kit was Denzils legs) they were terrific. There is some negative comment elsewhere on here but that seems usual, the more extreme elements of Jon's music does tend to put off some people. I do hope that a full on studio version of Silvery will be on the album - I love that song.

We joined the wrong queue too and the first I knew that Jon was at the stage door was a shout of "WOAH it's Martin Fry" according to him my attempt at a quiff makes me look like the ABC man, except where his hair is/was blonde mine is completely grey. Still at least he didn't shout "FUCK ME it's Martin Fry" from the stage like he did at the Oxford Zodiac.

Had a bit of a chat to Chris and Davros later, hopefully seeing them in Manchester on Thursday, I thought they did extremely well on Saturday.

All in all a sodding good year for gigs
